Prince William made his first public appearance since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic back in March on Tuesday, when he met with ambulance workers in Norfolk, United Kingdom. During this appearance, William was more relatable than ever when he talked about his concerns over his growing waistline after months in quarantine.
“I’m worried about the waistline of the nation as well with all the chocolate and cakes,” the 37 year-old royal confessed, according to Fox News. “I’ve done a lot of baking at home. Chocolate goes down very well.”

William and his wife Kate Middleton had previously admitted to the BBC back in April that they had been keeping their three young children busy with baking during their time at home in lockdown.
“The children have got such stamina, I don’t know how,” said Kate. “Honestly, you get to the end of the day and you write down the list of all the things that you’ve done on that day. So, you pitch a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake. You get to the end of the day – they have had a lovely time – but it is amazing how much you can cram into one day that’s for sure.”
Weeks later, around Easter, William admitted that he has a love for chocolate during a video call he and his wife took part in with a school.
“There will be a lot of chocolate being eaten here, don’t worry!” William said. Kate then burst out laughing and replied, “You keep eating it!”
After months of enjoying these chocolate treats at home, no wonder William is worrying about his waistline more than ever!

William and Kate have both been praised for the way they have stepped up and helped others during the coronavirus pandemic, and his relatable concerns about his COVID waistline are just another example of that.
“William comes over well on zoom. Some people just don’t like looking at themselves on screen,” another source said. “But William looks calm and collected and actually listens to what’s being said to him.”
