When I was a kid, there weren’t a lot of cartoons that I watched, but I remember watching Looney Tunes. There was the Road Runner and the Coyote.

And I was interested in Bugs Bunny although I really didn’t like Elmer Fudd because he seemed pretty stupid not being able to catch a rabbit. I also didn’t like his voice or his laugh.

I was never alarmed by Fudd’s gun or felt it was threatening in any way. Basically it was a prop. He had a gun because he was a hunter.

Bugs was basically safe because Fudd ended up injuring himself most of the time.

However, the PC liberals at Warner Bros. are obviously alarmed by guns, even fake ones. While doing a reboot of some episodes for HBO Max, they have “photoshopped” Fudd’s gun out of scenes and put in a scythe instead.

Now THAT is alarming. The optics are not pretty

A scythe is a long curved blade with a long handle, used to cut down grass and other crops. Also very useful in beheadings which would be the only reason for Fudd to go after Bugs with it. Or he can cut him in half I suppose.

Looks like ISIS has a fresh new recruit.

If seeing Fudd chase Bugs with a scythe is alarming to an adult, I can’t imagine what a child would think looking at it.

And how many kids are going to find something in their house to use to imitate that dangerous weapon when they play with their siblings and friends?

Why is Warner Bros. letting Fudd have any kind of weapon at all?

And why have a cartoon hunter – what about the vegetarians? They won’t be happy about this either.

Can’t Bugs and Fudd just get along? Why the animosity?

Executive Producer Peter Browngardt think’s he’s very woke with his decision about the cartoon gun ban. He said, “We’re not doing guns. But we can do cartoony violence – TNT, the Acme stuff. All that was kind of grandfathered in.”

Yosemite Sam won’t be afforded the second amendment either. That will be an interesting edit because from what I remember, the whole premise of Sam was him being a gunslinger. Maybe he’ll carry bananas instead.

Liberals never change. They don’t want anyone protecting themselves with guns. First they come for your guns and now they’re trying to take away your police. Even fictional characters are not immune.

For a time recently, to support Black Lives Matter, LEGO police were taken off the shelves.

I wonder…Will the cops disappear from cartoons too?

In the case of the Bugs Bunny/Elmer Fudd rivalry, police intervention could help. Bugs is no peaceful bystander.

He uses dynamite and TNT to go after Fudd. And he doesn’t do it safely, letting the dynamite explode in his hand, mouth and other body parts. What kind of message is Warner Bros. trying to send to the kiddos by allowing a unlicensed rabbit to blow up people with dynamite?

There should be disclaimers on how to use dynamite properly at the very least.

And why are Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam not black or latino? Why are they not gay?

And why aren’t there any protests marches in the cartoons to promote peace?

I don’t think Warner Bros. is woke enough.
