Vince Neil, the frontman of the band Motley Crue, is in mourning this week after his beloved terrier was “brutally” stalked and killed by dogs belonging to his neighbor.

Fox News reported that the death of the 10-pound Yorkshire terrier, whose name was California Wolf, was announced on Facebook by Neil’s girlfriend, Rain Hannah.

“We have been mourning her and celebrating her life the last few days,” Hannah wrote in the post. “We are beyond devastated from her passing.”

Hannah went on to explain that their neighbors’ “kill for sport” dogs “brutally hunted” California Wolf down in front of their home just a few steps away from their front door, adding, “we will have justice for Cali!”

“If you all can say a prayer for her,” Hannah wrote. “We will always have her star spirit with us and cherish the unconditional love she gave us and shared with so many. Thank you all for loving her.”

Neil and Hannah gave more details about Cali’s death on an Instagram page they used to solely post photos of her.

“Her passing was tragic,” they wrote. “She was brutally murdered on our front door by two evil neighbor dogs, which is caught on our security cameras. Our neighbors are trying to cover it up and say that she ran two football fields to their pasture and their long horn steers killed her!! Please pray for her justice because her killers are still running free!!”

“Cali touched every person she came in contact with and was loved by all,” they added. “We wish we could have her back. But we know it’s the circle of life and she will come back to us in her next life.”

Neil is known for loving dogs so much that he bought a private jet back in 2010 just so that he could travel between his homes in San Francisco and Las Vegas without having to put his pets in crates.

“Those are the kids, I mean, just because of them I had to buy a jet,” he said at the time. “I would have to charter planes for the dogs all the time, and it was getting so expensive that I realized it was cheaper to buy a plane than to keep chartering it.”

Please join us in saying a prayer for Neil, Hannah, and their family during this tragic time.
