Bravo has just fired Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute, who were original cast members of the reality television show “Vanderpump Rules,” after past allegations of racial insensitivity towards an African American member of the cast came back to haunt them.
The Bravo television network confirmed to Fox News that both Schroeder and Doute had been fired, as had new cast members Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni.
“Bravo and Evolution Media confirmed today that Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni will not be returning to Vanderpump Rules,” said in a statement.
The firings occurred after former “Vanderpump Rules” cast member Faith Stowers spoke out in a recent interview to recount how Schroeder and Doute once called the police on her two years ago in an attempt to place blame on her for a crime she didn’t commit. Stowers explained that an article had appeared online about an African-American woman who was allegedly wanted for theft, and her cast-mates thought she resembled her.
“There was this article on Daily Mail where there was an African-American lady,” Stowers said. “It was a weird photo, so she looked very light-skinned and had these different, weird tattoos. They showcased her, and I guess this woman was robbing people. And they called the cops and said it was me. This is like, a true story. I heard this from actually Stassi during an interview.”
On top of being fired, Schroeder has been hit particularly hard by this, as she has been dropped by her PR agency UTA as well. On top of that, she has multiple brand sponsorships such as shaving brand Billie and vitamin startup Ritual.
Schroeder had tried to apologize when the backlash began, as did Doute.
“My emotions over something that happened between our friends outweighed my logic, and there is no excuse for that… What I did to Faith was wrong. I apologize and I do not expect forgiveness,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Although my actions were not racially driven, I am now completely aware of how my privilege blinded me from the reality of law enforcement’s treatment of the black community, and how dangerous my actions would have been to her…” Doute wrote in a post of her own. “I’m ashamed, embarrassed and incredibly sorry. I will do better. I have to do better.”

While Boyens and Caprioni had not been involved in the incident with Stowers, they were both found to have posted racially insensitive tweets in the past. Each of them issued apologies on the reunion show of Season 8 just a few days ago.
“I’m an adult now, and I cringe even thinking that I said those things… I just want to say I’m just really, sincerely sorry. I’m not even — there’s no excuse,” Boyens said, with Caprioni adding, “It’s something I regret deeply, and it was just kind of making jokes with each other, like we’d literally be in the same room and just say stupid s— to each other, and it was a dumb f—ing thing to do. I’m doing my best to move forward and be the best person I can be, and try to emulate [sic] that to everybody else.”
