Kelvin Edwards, 35, took the cowardly way out, claiming that the coronavirus lockdown is the reason why he took a machete to a couple on Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened at Public Storage. Edwards allegedly attacked the two unprovoked. Both of the victims are currently in critical condition.

Sorry, I am not buying his excuse. Millions of people are inconvenienced & many are out of work, many are homeless, yet they don’t go on a murderous rampage hacking innocent people up with a machete. I understand getting help is more difficult, but support is out there.

[ABC News] The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when Metro Nashville Police in Tennessee were called to the offices of Public Storage at 2:47 p.m. to reports of a man attacking a couple with a machete inside the main office as other customers waited inside.

The suspect, later named as 35-year-old Kelvin Edwards, allegedly entered the office and, without warning, began repeatedly slashing the married victims with his machete, even after they were on the floor and bleeding badly.

The couple, Kevin Craft, 55, and Leanne Craft, 50, were immediately taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and were listed in critical condition. According to the Metro Nashville Police, six officers responded to the scene of the crime and were able to apply tourniquets to the victims in an effort to control their bleeding and save their lives.

Police investigators said that Edwards had expressed anger regarding the COVID-19 lockdown to them when he was interviewed after the incident.

What a horrifically violent attack on innocent people. I hope they both survive, but their lives will never be the same.

Believe it or not, sometimes crimes are committed so one can escape life and it’s hardships with a possible sentence of prison time. Thus food and shelter and no other responsibilities.

Lock him up and throw away the key! Sick individuals always claim they can not handle the usual pressures of life. Sick of the excuses, prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law, period!

The elephant in the room is race—no mention of the race of the victims but from the names high probability that they were white. If reversed, no doubt, the headline of the story would lead to that.

I could be wrong, but I’m almost sure Al Sharpton is somewhere planning to lead the protests against this heinous racially motivated crime.
