We previously reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are currently living in the $18 million mansion of Hollywood mogul Tyler Perry in an ultra-exclusive area of Beverly Hills, California. While Meghan and Harry certainly are living in the lap of luxury, however, it has just been revealed that their area poses some dangers that the couple might not have been aware of.

The U.K. Mirror reported that Meghan and Harry, who are known to be devoted animal lovers, will need to be on their guard as coyotes are known to snatch the pets of their new celebrity neighbor. Local celebrities like LeAnn Rimes, Demi Lovato, and Jessica Simpson have all had their dogs taken by coyotes, and the same thing could easily happen to Harry and Meghan.

“These things are a real threat here – they can and do kill,” one source said. “Back in England, the most threatening animal Harry and Meghan were likely to meet was probably a fox or a deer, but the situation here is very different.”

The home Meghan and Harry are staying in is located by a mountain right next to a trail that is popular with hikers and animals alike.

“Meghan and Harry know they have to take the threat seriously,” the source said. “This area is beautiful and provides a wonderful vista but when things go wrong, they can go seriously wrong.”

With the trails recently reopening after being closed amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, LA’s Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority has issued a statement warning about the dangers posed on them.

“Attacks are rare but they do happen,” officials said. “We don’t want any new incidents now that the trails have just reopened after the lockdown.”

“Dogs are easy targets for hunters like mountain lions and owners should keep them on a leash when hiking or make sure they are in a secure place at home,” they added. “Children should also be watched at all times. It may be minutes from the centre of Beverly Hills, but anyone in the area should remember they are out in nature, not in the city.”

Harry and Meghan are parents to 1 year-old Archie and own multiple dogs, so they would do well to heed these warnings and keep an extra close eye on all of them in the coming weeks.
