Just two days after claiming that she had tested positive for coronavirus antibodies, the pop singer Madonna broke quarantine to go out and party with friends.

The 61 year-old singer appeared to break social distancing on Saturday to attend the birthday party of photographer Steven Klein, who was presented with a “COVID cake” during the live-streamed private gig. Videos and photos from the event show Madonna getting close to Klein and even hugging him, seemingly having total disregard for social distance guidelines, according to the Daily Mail.

This was particularly shocking given the fact that Madonna claimed just two days before that she had tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies.

“I took a test the other day. I found out that I have the antibodies,” Madonna said in one of her “Quarantine Diaries” videos on Thursday. “So tomorrow, I’m just going to go for a long drive in a car and I’m going to roll down the window, and I’m going to breathe in the COVID-19 air.”

Madonna has found herself in hot water as of late for comments she’s made about this pandemic, which she referred to as “the great equalizer” in another video.

“That’s the thing about COVID-19. It doesn’t care about how rich you are, how famous you are, how funny you are,” Madonna said. “How smart you are, where you live, how old you are, what amazing stories you can tell. It’s the great equalizer and what’s terrible about is it what’s great about it.

“What’s terrible about it is that it’s made us all equal in many ways and what’s wonderful about is, is that it’s made us all equal in many ways,” she continued. “Like I used to say at the end of human nature every night, if the ship goes down, we’re all going down together.”

Madonna later ended up deleting this video, which was filmed in her bathroom, because of all of the backlash she was getting online. This comes as millions of people all over the world continue to be in quarantine because of COVID-19, which has killed hundreds of thousands of people all over the globe.
