The Lifetime TV network has just announced plans to make a movie about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the British royal family, which will be the third film about the couple made by the network.

Daily Mail reported that the movie is tentatively called Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace, and it will tell the story about the couple’s decision to step down as senior members of the British royal family, a move that they announced earlier this year.

TVLine reported that the official synopsis of the film states that it will be a fictional account of “the couple’s controversial conscious uncoupling from the crown, after the birth of their son Archie.”

“The movie details the struggles of the new parents and unique challenges of being part of the royal family, which ultimately led Harry and Meghan to give up their royal ties to forge a new life on their own terms,” the synopsis added.

No casting has been announced for the movie, which will likely not be going into production for quite some time due to the coronavirus pandemic. The film will follow the other two that Lifetime made about the couple: Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance and Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal.

The first movie about the couple told the story of their first date in 2016 to their engagement the next year, and it starred Parisa Fitz-Henley and Murray Fraser as Meghan and Harry.

The second movie was a playful, fictional take on Harry and Meghan’s lives in them lead-up to their wedding and in the early part of their marriage. This film, which was released in May of 2019, starred Tiffany Smith as Meghan and British star Charlie Field as Harry.

Harry and Meghan shocked the world back in January when they announced that they would be stepping down as senior members of the British royal family. They originally left the United Kingdom and moved to Vancouver, Canada after this announcement, but they have since relocated to Meghan’s hometown of Los Angeles, California. There, they are currently living in Hollywood mogul Tyler Perry’s $18 million Beverly Hills mansion while they look for a local mansion of their own to purchase.
