Operation Haircut is a go. The Michigan Conservative Coalition is inviting all of you unkempt scraggly lookin’ Michigan folks to come out and get a free haircut on them. Their Facebook event page is here. Or at least it is until the governor gets it shut down.

The haircut/protest is on the capitol lawn from noon to 3 pm.

The Michigan Conservative Coalition says that everyone who attended Operation Gridlock should attend this event too for the same reason – to stand up and support the 1.7 million unemployed citizens who need their jobs back and protest against the governor’s destruction of the state’s economy.

Their Facebook page also says that it’s in support of barber Karl Manke from Owosso who governor Whitmer and her attorney general have been trying to shut down.

They ask families to bring respectful signs and decorate their cars.

They are asking barbers and stylists to bring a chair and their scissors or clippers and the Michigan Conservative Coalition has set up a text line on their Facebook event page to contact if you want to set up a chair.

Do you support individual military members being able to opt out of getting the COVID vaccine?

By completing the poll, you agree to receive emails from SteveGruber.com, occasional offers from our partners and that you've read and agree to our privacy policy and legal statement.

People who want haircuts should wear a mask and social distance from each other. Be respectful of police and emergency vehicles. Tips to the barbers/stylists are optional but encouraged. You can post social media messages, photos and videos to the hashtags #OperationHaircut, #WhitmerDepression and #LiberateMichigan.

Barbers/hairstylists who attend are asked to bring PPE to wear at all times and use social distancing practices. You’ll need to bring a folding chair and folding table for supplies and clean equipment before each cut. Use disinfectant to clean your chair and bring capes. You cannot charge for your haircuts but are welcome to promote your business with signs or cards. Ask for a volunteer if you need help.

So snip, snip and get rid of that ratty mess. Do it for all of us.
