CNN‘s Don Lemon took Sunday night to work out some personal psychosis on the air. Like a deranged Glenn Close in “Fatal Attraction,” Lemon is simply obsessed with President Donald Trump.

So much so that he posed a question to an imaginary Trump figure sitting in front of him in the studio. Lemon excitedly said, “What is it about President Obama that really gets under your skin? Is it because he’s smarter than you? Better educated? Made it on his own? Didn’t need daddy’s help? Wife is more accomplished? Better looking? I don’t know, what is it? What is it about him? That he’s a black man that’s accomplished being president? That he punked you on the whole birth certificate thing? What is it about him? Just wondering.”

Perhaps we can answer his questions. Smarter? Trump was smart enough to destroy Obama’s legacy and his endorsed candidate in 2016. Not too shabby. Better educated? Obama went to that international academic powerhouse of eternal renown—Occidental College. Trump went to the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania. Made it on his own? Well, Obama had the long-term help of actual communists and he started his political career in the living room of a Marxist terrorist. Trump had a rich dad. For president, I’ll take the guy with the rich dad.

Here’s my personal favorite: Obama’s wife is better looking than Trump’s wife. Okay, I know, I know. So get up off the floor and wipe the tears from your eyes. Though granted, it’s perhaps the funniest thing a Democrat has unintentionally said since Election Night 2016. I’m thinking of the “Spoiler Alert-She Wins” t-shirts. Yeah, those were great. But, we digress.

To return on point, as a family publication the most direct way decorum allows us to answer Mr. Lemon’s question on this topic is to remind readers that tiddlywinks players are rarely the best people to go to when one has a question about the rules of stock car racing.

Then Lemon goes for the usual “he’s a racist!” blather, since none of his other verbal dogs would hunt. Poor Don Lemon. Alas, never to face the object of his obsession. So he must remain content with star-crossed invective and psychotic breaks to hide his true feelings. A sad fate indeed for such an obviously infatuated pundit.
