Country music star Carrie Underwood and her former pro-hockey husband Mike Fisher are opening up about the relationship like never before this week, and some of the things they are saying are surprising even their most devoted fans.
On Tuesday, a preview of the four-part digital series “Mike and Carrie: God & Country,” which is set to debut on Wednesday, was posted to social media. The sneak peak showed Underwood, 37, saying, “I always swore I would never marry a hunter as a child.”
“I would never. Not in a million years,” she added as Fisher laughed and smiled, as he is known to be an avid hunter himself.

Later in the sneak peak, Underwood explains that she and her husband, who have been married since 2010, “differ drastically.”
“I always wanted lots of kids,” said Fisher, 39, with his wife adding, “I was never good with other people’s kids. Why would I be good with one of my own?”
The series will also be taking a look at the multiple miscarriages Underwood suffered, something she has been open with in the past.
“She was like, ‘I lost the baby.’ And I was like, ‘Again?'” Fisher said. “We had all these mountaintops, but we hadn’t had a ton of valleys like this.”
“I just had an honest conversation with God,” Underwood continued. “I was hurt. I told Him how I felt.”
Fox News reported that a press release for the show stated that it would be taking “an up-close and unfiltered glimpse” into their “life, relationship and faith” with weekly episodes.
“This powerhouse couple provides insight into how they continually sustain their marriage, despite sometimes differing views and personal loss, and find purpose beyond the professional accomplishments by which the world defines them,” the statement said.
Fisher had previously worked on a project with the nonprofit in 2014, and he was eager to do so again.
“Since first filming with I Am Second six years ago, I have seen God continue to grow my faith as Carrie and I have together walked through the natural joys and struggles of life,” Fisher explained. “This new series is not only a continuation of the 2014 White Chair film, but hopefully a reminder to individuals of God’s faithfulness in all situations.”
Underwood was onboard as well, saying, “We wanted to do this to share some of our personal journey in hopes that viewers will be inspired by it, and maybe even take one more step in pursuing a relationship with God.”
