Last week, Pres. Trump formed a large bipartisan task force on the coronavirus. It included every Republican senator except one: Mitt Romney.
The reason? Mitt Romney, the Utah senator, and former Massachusetts governor still hold a grudge against Pres. Trump, for who knows what. Trump endorsed Romney back in 2012 against Barack Obama. When it seemed no Republican could be Democrats for the Oval Office, Trump did it himself. Romney appears not to have gotten over that.

On Sunday, Trump himself acknowledged that he also holds a grudge against Romney when he was asked about it during his coronavirus task force meeting. “Does that show you’re still holding a grudge against Mitt Romney?” asked a reporter from the Salt Lake Tribune. “Yeah,” said Trump. “It does. Yeah.”
The media went into “defend Romney mode,” reminding Pres. Trump that Romney was once a governor. “You don’t want his advice?” Trump responded with, “Well, I just don’t think—you know, I’m not a fan of Mitt Romney. I don’t want his advice.”
Just that simple. I would have lost it if Pres. Trump responded, “Who?” when asked, then moved on.
Let’s not forget that Romney was the only Republican senator to stand with Democrat Senators who voted to convict Trump on one of his impeachment charges.

Politico documents how the rift between both men goes back even further, back to 2016, where Romney worked to prevent Trump from becoming the GOP nominee.
What cracks me up is how the media think that the President has to answer to them at every step? If I were in Trump’s position, I would have told everyone of the media press to get a life.
