Chris Cuomo’s recent comments about his “Coronavirus” sickness have raised quite a few eyebrows, leaving many to wonder if Cuomo actually had the virus, to begin with.

Here’s what happened:

Cuomo took to Twitter to share his thoughts on a recent photo of VP Pence not wearing a mask. Cuomo tweeted out an article and said:

“Everyone knows he did the wrong thing. But the criticism misses the fact that a significant part of his base thinks masks are stupid anyway”

That comment from Cuomo prompted a lot of criticism, considering Cuomo was busted leaving his “quarantine” while he was supposedly diagnosed with Coronavirus.

He took his family to go look at some real estate he just purchased in the South Hamptons and was confronted by a bicyclist who was angry that the CNN anchor was out in public without a mask and the two got into a verbal argument.

The Washington Examiner reports that Cuomo, who claimed on March 31 that he had been diagnosed with the virus, is the one who broke quarantine on April 12 to drive his family to East Hampton, New York, 30 minutes away from their home in Southampton. The CNN host even got into an altercation with a cyclist, who called him out for possibly spreading the disease.

As you can imagine, Twitter users were quick to point out Cuomo’s hypocrisy – and he actually responded to one of the people.

A person by the name of Steven said: “Can we first talk for a minute about how you broke quarantine while having coronavirus?”

To which Cuomo responded with: “Sure – it is just a lie. I was past quarantine. Was never in public. My fam was cursed at in our own backyard by a guy with an open case for allegedly biting a man’s hands. Those are facts ignored by trump grumps”

Washington Examiner explains the curiousness of Cuomo’s comment:

First, what does he mean by “past quarantine”?

If he was “past quarantine” by April 12, then what the hell was that April 20 video all about? You know, the video where Cuomo emerges from his basement and says excitedly to the camera, “Here it is: the official reentry from the basement. … This is what I’ve been dreaming of, literally, for weeks.”

CNN’s website even hosted the video with a caption that reads, “CNN’s Chris Cuomo says he has been cleared to end his self-quarantine in his basement, a day he has been dreaming of for weeks.”

Either Cuomo is lying now about being “past quarantine on April 12,” or he was lying on April 20 when he pretended as if his emerging from his basement was his first time out of isolation since he announced on March 31 that he had been diagnosed with the virus.

The kicker in all of this how Cuomo will reconcile his claim that he was “past quarantine” on April 12th, when his wife’s personal notes from that day, claiming he had a 100-degree fever in the afternoon and evening.

 

You’ll also recall that Cuomo made a big deal out of “coming out of quarantine” on April 20th. He filmed himself coming up from the basement and embracing his family.

So, did Cuomo lie on April 20 when he suggested it was his first time out of isolation? Clearly. Is Cuomo lying now about being “past quarantine” on Easter Sunday? It seems likely, considering his wife’s notes.

And then: did Cuomo even have the virus? At this point, who can possibly tell? We shouldn’t take his word for it.

I agree with Washington Examiner on this. We should not take his word for anything when it comes to politics or this situation.
