President Donald Trump’s critics are angry at a photo posted by First Lady Melania Trump, showing herself wearing a face mask during the coronavirus pandemic.

Mrs. Trump posted the photo on social media, along with text that said, “As the CDC studies the spread of #COVID-19, they recommend people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when social distancing can be hard to do. Remember, this does NOT replace the importance of social distancing.”

The federal government initially suggested that Americans do not wear face masks, but then on April 3 began telling everyone to wear face masks when possible in public. Face masks help prevent the spread of the coronavirus by carriers who are asymptomatic.

President Trump received backlash earlier this week when he stated that he is “choosing” not to wear a face mask. He has been tested for COVID-19 twice, and both tests came back negative. The First Lady has also been tested on a number of occasions.

As soon as Mrs. Trump tweeted the photo of herself wearing a mask, the critics chimed in on Twitter, ravaging her.
