Jon Gosselin, the former star of the reality television show “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” just spoke out to slam his ex-wife Kate for not returning to her nursing career amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Jon, 43, told The Sun that Kate has been unusually quiet on social media as of late as the world struggles to fight COVID-19.

“It’s like she’s gone MIA for a while,” Jon said. “I have no idea what she’s doing for work. I mean you think – as she claims she has her nursing license – that she’d be on the front line. That would be a good idea. Just saying.”

Reporters have since obtained records showing that Kate, 45, is an “active” registered nurse whose license will not expire until the end of 2021. However, she walked away from nursing soon after she launched her reality TV career, and there is no evidence that she has returned to the frontlines during this crisis as many other former nurses have.

Jon explained that he is now dating a nurse named Colleen who is doing her part to help patients through coronavirus on a daily basis.

“When you see nurses and doctors like Colleen, it’s a calling…it’s like this inner thing. Or even our CMO here, she’s like, ‘I got sick and I can’t wait to go back to work.’ Because she’s devoted to her patients,” Jon said. “And then you talk, like my ex wife, ‘Well I was a nurse and this and that’. So there’s people that talk about it and then there’s people that talk about it and actually do it.”

“So if I can call her out right now: If you say you’re this person, then why aren’t you doing something?” he added. “There’s people dying who need nurses, they need people on the frontline. There’s people coming out of retirement that are just going to the hospital and volunteering with no PPE or nothing and just being next to people dying in the hospital.”

Jon added that he has been working in a hospital as well during this difficult time, fixing printers that may have become infected.

“I’m here, I go on the floor, I fix printers in infected rooms,” he said. “Maybe I touch keyboards that might be infected – I just put my hand sanitizer on and put a mask on. It is what it is. It’s your job, you got to do what you gotta do.”

Jon and Kate shot to fame on their TLC reality show, which featured them parenting their eight children, which consisted of a set of twins and a set of sextuplets. Unfortunately, the show eventually chronicled the breakdown of their marriage, and they ended up divorcing in 2009.

These days, their twins are in college, and the sextuplets have been split up between their respective homes. Two of them live with Jon full-time, while the other four are with Kate.
