New York State finally has excellent news!
The COVID-19 coronavirus daily death toll fell below 500 for the first time since April 2. New cases have reduced to 4,726, which sets a positive milestone, the lowest single-day total in a month.
On Monday morning, during his daily briefing, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the coronavirus pandemic past its peak in the state and that authorities were trying to figure out how the slowdown in cases will be.

“Nobody knows. Just as nobody knew how long the ascent was, nobody can tell you how long the descent is,” said Cuomo.
The total number of New York State COVID-19 deaths are 14,347. There is no doubt that it is the highest in the country. According to ABC7, Cuomo also thought to propose a 50% hazard pay bonus for essential workers, most importantly, first responders.
Fifty-one days ago, the first coronavirus infection in New York state was documented and confirmed. Now there are almost 250,000, NBC New York reports.
A concerned Cuomo also warned that the infection rate would have to decrease further before the economy can be safely reopened.
“The worst thing that can happen is for us to go through this hell all over again. Think about what we’ve gone through. Think about how many New Yorkers we’ve lost and are still losing. We must tread very carefully.”
