As illegal aliens are by definition involved in an illegal act, crime does pay in California.

Gavin Newsom, the state’s leftist Democrat governor, announced Wednesday afternoon that virus payments of $125 million to illegal aliens would be executed by spending a mix of taxpayer money and donations from corporations and philanthropists. $75 million will come from taxpayers. The plan will give illegal immigrants $500 each during the outbreak.

“We feel a deep sense of gratitude for people that are in fear of deportations that are still addressing essential needs of tens of millions of Californians,” said Newsom, as he announced the bountiful windfall for illegal aliens. His words translated from California limo-liberal into English: We’re giving our servants a bonus with taxpayer money.

As legal California residents try to make ends meet in this crisis and other Americans are stretching their budget, the California state government apparently has an extra $75 million to give to those who broke the law.

California taxpayers should be livid at this blatant waste of their money. In fact, the federal government should hold back $75 million of federal aid to the state, as it seems California has a surplus $75 million to spend on Democrat vote-mongering schemes.

California has an estimated 2 million immigrants living in the state illegally. They are not eligible for the $2.2 trillion stimulus package approved by Congress in March. Gavin Newsom has changed that. Other states may follow Newsom’s lead. Washington state is considering it.

What this highlights more than anything else are the priorities of the Democrat Party both at the state and national levels. In DC Democrats hold up vital legislation, stall presidential appointments, and harass the president on small and large issues. In the states they fund more programs for illegal immigrants than they do for their own citizens, refuse to abide by federal laws, and plot against the federal virus response to the injury of the national effort.

This is not surprising, as the nation doesn’t matter to the Democrats. Voting bribes to illegal aliens and the hope that illegals can somehow get to vote, legally or not, is what motivates them. This unethical taxpayer giveaway is only one example of it.
