After another defeat in South Carolina, it seems Elizabeth Warren’s sole mission is to take out the candidate most aligned with her views: Bernie Sanders.

Warren came in fifth in South Carolina on Saturday, and during remarks made in Texas, she went after Sanders, who finished second in the first contest in the South.

Warren, who finished with just 7.1 percent of the vote, said the race demands “more than a senator who has good ideas but whose 30-year track record shows he consistently calls for things that fail to get done and consistently opposing things that nevertheless he fails to stop.”

She added she is the candidate with “progressive ideas and progressive results”.

CNN reported on Saturday that “one person close” to the Warren campaign said that Warren’s effort that day was “about blunting the momentum for Bernie Sanders.”

Warren finished third in Iowa, fourth in Hew Hampshire, and fourth in Nevada.

So date, she’s been awarded 8 delegates to the DNC nominating convention in Milwaukee.
