Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, better known as Diamond and Silk, have a little controversy going, and it’s because they don’t believe in the reported uptick in COVID-19 (coronavirus) deaths throughout the United States.
A video clip surfaced from their Fox Nation series where they used terms such as “supposedly died,” “Watch the numbers go up,” followed by “they want to make it look bad,” when talking about the 1,000 deaths reported by various states nationwide.
Their reason for this theory was that there was only one (1) death reported if the first 39 days. Now that there is a huge spike, someone must be flubbing the numbers.

I see COVID-19 (coronavirus) as a problem. Pres. Trump said he was moved by the NY hospital he was viewing because he knows that hospital and to see it in this current condition during this crisis made him extend the coronavirus guidelines until the end of April.

I know a lot of individuals think some of this is fake, I am not one of them. I would be questioning Trump and his decisions. Do these people understand that if it is fake, they are saying Trump is playing along with all of the decisions that he’s making, and I can’t believe that? I think Trump is seeing things we can’t see and pivoting to avoid major disasters across the country.
The way I look at it is this. So many individuals want to help Pres. Trump, but they aren’t politically equipped to. Many people on Twitter feel they are the right hand of the president, and if they record or say something that it’s going to make a difference. Add a television network, and you feel higher than the rest.
Diamond and Silk once mentioned that Russia wouldn’t have nuclear weapons if Hillary Clinton didn’t help them during Uranium One. That was said on LIVE television, and the hosts didn’t correct them. I sent a letter begging them to correct that on social media so they won’t be attacked, and I was unfollowed.

They are passionate supporters, and they provide a lot of entertainment for Republicans who want to have an outlet from politics now and then but political experts they aren’t and shouldn’t be treated as such.
The era of entertainment has brought a lot of voices that regurgitate old talking points but little substance. They rely on emotion and drumming up engagement, but it doesn’t play outside of the GOP, and that’s a problem.

Both women are proud Americans, and they are enjoying their time in the spotlight during Trump’s presidency. I hope they start thinking a little bit more about what they say so it doesn’t paint them in a bad light when they do mess up.
