Everywhere you look, it’s another panicked story about Coronavirus.

So much of what’s being written is absolute sensationalism and hysteria. The media should be ashamed of themselves.

Now, I am not suggesting that people shouldn’t be careful and cautious – they should. Wash your hands, don’t touch your face, and if you feel sick go see a doctor. Commonsense type stuff.

I am referring to the sheer unadulterated panic that is spreading – this hyperventilating nonsense that politicians, media, and other officials are engaging in is so unhealthy and unfair.

Let me show you just how hysterical people are behaving over this virus. This is the TRUTH about Coronavirus:

REPORT: Opinion: President Trump is Cool Under Fire and Absolutely Right on Coronavirus Death Rate

Of those who get Coronavirus, 80% experience nothing worse than the common cold. The remaining 20% will experience pneumonia-like symptoms and may require treatment or hospitalization. Conclusion: If you are the unlucky 1-in-a-thousand person who gets Coronavirus, it will probably be a 2-week illness and then you will be fine.

Coronavirus kills roughly 1.4% of the people who contract it. This means it kills 14 people in 1-Million (see notes below). Sounds bad, right? Well, the death rate is 14,000 people per million in any given year. So Coronavirus represents only a 0.1% increase in the natural death rate. Conclusion: The death rate from Coronavirus is so small that it is statistically insignificant. [Talkingpointz]

The hysteria started early on. I saw all of these crazy videos supposedly coming out of China of so-called “doctors” shooting people they suspected of having the virus. There was also a video of a lady, with “Coronavirus” who had been “shot dead” trying to cross a roadblock and escape Wuhan. And you may have seen the video of Chinese people “collapsing” in the streets from the virus.

Well, it was all fake.

There are people out there who are spreading these viral videos and causing mass hysteria. Who is it? I haven’t a clue, but they went to great lengths to edit and splice together videos. So, it was an all-out effort to create a widespread disinformation campaign.

You can see the full debunking of the video here.

The video of the woman who was “shot” was also edited. It was a real video, but nobody had been shot. It was a motorcycle accident. The person who created the new video edited out the “scooter” and then made up a “virus” story to go with the footage:

This is a genuine video. However, it is not related to the coronavirus nor to a roadblock. This video actually shows a person who was killed in a motorbike accident.

Remnants of this accident can be seen in the video. At one point, a busted up sidewalk can be seen near the victim. An overturned scooter can also be seen in the background. The French news outlet Les Observateurs France 24 obtained a slightly longer version of this video that more clearly shows the crashed motorbike.

Les Observateurs also obtained a statement from the director of the Wuzu police station who said that this was a “one-vehicle road accident”:

“In the afternoon of January 29, a one-sided [one-vehicle] road accident occurred in the city of Wuzu. The person involved was driving a scooter and, due to bad traffic maneuver, she shifted to the side of the road, collided with the stones along the ledge and fell on the back of the head, and unfortunately died. The driver was solely responsible. Local police and health center workers quickly arrived to handle the accident.” [Snopes]

The videos of people collapsing in the streets can’t be officially disproved because they may have not been “widely” reported past stories that can be quickly debunked. Although if you look at these videos, you can see that they generally look like car accidents or crime scenes. Also, it’s fair to note that medical officials in China always look like they’re wearing hazmat suits. Also, note the large amount of blood pooling around the victim’s heads.

Again, it’s important that people be mindful careful and aware of their surroundings and take proper precautions – but this is the reality of the Coronavirus:

Nations are closing borders, stocks are plummeting and a New York Times headline reads: “The Coronavirus Has Put the World’s Economy in Survival Mode.” Both political parties have realized the crisis could severely impact the November elections — House, Senate, presidency. And sacré bleu, they’ve even shuttered the Louvre!

Some of these reactions are understandable, much of it pure hysteria. Meanwhile, the spread of the virus continues to slow.

More than 18,000 Americans have died from this season’s generic flu so far, according to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In 2018, the CDC estimated, there were 80,000 flu deaths. That’s against 19 coronavirus deaths so far, from about 470 cases. [New York Post]

And keep in mind, back in 2009 when America was hit with the Swine flu, over 22 million Americans got the Swine flu and over 17 thousand died.

Do you recall this type of hysterical frenzy?

No. Of course not. I remember very well the Swine flu pandemic and it was not even close to this crazy frenzy. Not even a fraction of it.

This virus is being manipulated and politicized like nobody business.

The Dems are hoping (and working hard) to spin this negatively so that they can use this against Trump during the upcoming election.

The good news is the end is near – and while it may worsen before it falls out – it will fall out…sooner than you may think.

Like the flu, the coronavirus is afflicting high-risk groups: the elderly, those with underlying health conditions like diabetes or heart disease and those with compromised immune systems. Are there exceptions? Sure. But that’s the case with almost every complex biological phenomenon of the kind.

More good news. This month, the Northern Hemisphere, which includes the countries with the most cases, starts heating up. Almost all respiratory viruses hate warm and moist weather. That’s why flu dies out in America every year by May at the latest and probably why Latin America has reported only 25 coronavirus cases. The Philippines, where I live, has about a third of the US population, but it’s so damned hot and humid here, so far we have had no confirmed cases of internal transmission. [New York Post]

In the meantime, stay safe, be smart, and stay strong. Don’t let this negative news get you down.

President Trump is doing a great job and his handling of Coronavirus will be another feather in his cap.
