Earlier this week, we reported that disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein had tested positive for coronavirus right after starting his 23 year prison sentence for sexual assault.

Now, an update has come in about how Weinstein is fairing, and it turns out that he is struggling much more with being in prison than he is with coronavirus.

A source told Fox News that Weinstein has “no symptoms” but “has been in isolation” since leaving the infamous Rikers Island jail in New York City and moving to Wende Correctional Facility, a maximum-security prison near Buffalo, New York.

Juda S. Engelmayer, a spokeswoman for Weinstein, 68, said that the former Hollywood mogul is “feeling well” despite being diagnosed with coronavirus.

“It’s prison he is having a hard time adjusting to,” she said.

This comes after the New York City prison system revealed that at least 19 inmates and 12 staff members have tested positive for coronavirus.

Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years earlier this month for raping an actress in 2013 and for forcibly performing oral sex on an assistant in 2006.

His lawyers have already said that they plan to appeal the conviction.

After Weinstein’s coronavirus diagnosis was confirmed, actress Rose McGowan, who previously accused him of rape, spoke out to address him, saying, “Dear Harvey, In your darkest hour, repent. And in your lightest moment set yourself free.”

While speaking at a sentencing hearing earlier in March, Weinstein addressed his alleged victims.

“I really feel remorse for this situation. I feel it deeply in my heart. I will spend my time really caring and really trying to be a better person,” Weinstein said, according to Newsweek.

“I’m not going to say these aren’t great people, I had wonderful times with these people, you know. It is just I’m totally confused and I think men are confused about all of these issues.”
