The wife of George Papadopolous had a meltdown on Twitter, where she aired the couple’s dirty marriage laundry.
But more concerning than that was her accusation that he “used and abused” her.
In a string of now-deleted text messages, Simona Mangiante took to Twitter on Monday and announced that the couple is splitting up and then said she has been dealing with “months of abuse.”
Her initial tweet read: Officially divorcing @GeorgePapa19 after the months of abuses and ultimately the huge disrespect he showed this morning in his podcast. “I am tired of him and playing his wife…He is a monster.”
Mangiante claimed that Papadopoulos used her for “public benefit,” and said that he disrespected her and abused her.
For a short time on Monday, Mangiante’s Twitter profile page was disabled. However, she fired it back up on Monday night and slammed her husband again.

However, after accusing George of “abuse” and announcing the divorce, Simona went back on Twitter and said the things she said about her husband were “untrue,” and said they were going to get counseling.
“Regrettably, out of anger, I said some things that were untrue about my husband, George Papadopoulos yesterday.
We’re a young married couple who have been through many difficult days as you’re aware. It has not been easy adjusting.”

“Social Media is not the best place to air out our disagreements and I have apologized to him and now to you.I love him deeply and dearly and I know he loves me http://too.To assist us in working things out,we both have agreed to enter into counseling.Keep us in your prayers”

The writing of these two “apology” text messages is a very different style from the earlier texts.
Not sure if English is her second language or perhaps she may have been intoxicated when writing the earlier messages. Or perhaps she didn’t write the “apology text,” maybe a PR person wrote it, or her husband “helped” her.
The bottom line is that we wish the couple well and sincerely hope if there is any “abuse” going on, it ends quickly and nobody gets hurt.
