During a recent town hall appearance on Fox, a Tulsi Gabbard supporter pointed out Mike Bloomberg’s hypocrisy regarding his stance on gun control with a great question.

Clarke Chitty asked Bloomberg, “How do you justify pushing for more gun control when you have an armed security detail that’s likely equipped with the same firearms and magazines that you seek to ban the common citizen from owning? Does your life matter more than mine or my families or these peoples?”

He got a lot of applause after the question from the regular folk in the audience who probably want to be able to protect themselves from any danger that may be around them or any foreseeable threats – just like Mini Mike.

Basically, Bloomberg’s elitist answer was yes, his life IS more important than yours.

He answered the question by saying, “Look. I probably get 40 or 50 threats every week, okay, and some of them are real. That just happens when you are the mayor of New York City or you are very wealthy, and if you are campaigning for the president of the United States, you get a lot of threats. So I have a security detail and I pay for it all myself. They are all retired police officers who are very well trained in firearms.”

Hm… so we’re not important enough to be able to protect ourselves like he is. And we’re not trained enough to use them.

Do you support individual military members being able to opt out of getting the COVID vaccine?

Oddly enough, I don’t remember the Constitution saying anything about only giving me the right to bear arms if I’m a politician, if I’m “police-trained” in gun safety or if I have death threats.

I just checked the Constitution again. Nope. Doesn’t say any of that.

Even the statement “a well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state” has nothing to do with me. It might have been the REASON they put the 2nd Amendment in the Constitution, but it’s not mandatory that I be in a militia to be able to get a gun.

Bloomberg doesn’t care if a 20-year old woman has a husband or boyfriend who abuses her and needs a gun to protect herself. He doesn’t care about the disabled veteran who is living in a community with a rash of robberies and needs to protect himself. He doesn’t care about the 40-year-old mother of four who has a stalker who won’t leave her alone. Or a church that needs security.

Bloomberg has decided that his safety is paramount and worth defending. Ours isn’t.
