The Iowa caucus never happened. They tried and tried but the votes were never counted.

The Democrat party is blaming it on a failed smartphone app that they claim Berne “insisted on using.”

Whatever the case may be, it was an absolute disaster and failure and a terrible look.

That’s it from me after a very anti-climatic night in Des Moines. The Democratic presidential candidates and the media circus accompanying them are leaving Iowa with no sense of who won the first voting state in the nominating contest.

Here’s where things stand:

The Iowa Democratic party has not yet released any data from tonight’s caucuses, blaming the delay on “inconsistencies” and promising to release results later Tuesday.
The debacle intensified complaints that Iowa should not vote first, considering tonight’s issues and the state’s mostly white demographics.
Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg delivered addresses to supporters that sounded oddly like victory speeches, as Joe Biden’s camp appeared to downplay expectations.
All of the top candidates pledged to continue their fight in the next voting state of New Hampshire, but it’s unclear whether they will change their tune once results are finally known. [The Guardian]

Of course, many people are claiming “rigged!” And they may be right.

The chaos of the night actually unfolded on CNN when a precinct captain was trying to manually call-in his vote totals and after waiting on the phone for over an hour they were disconnected.

How can these bumbling fools claim they can overhaul healthcare (again – they already ruined it once) when they can’t even count 200k votes?

The candidates all stood there giving these awkward speeches. The only one to actually clam victory was Mayor Pete. Who knows why he’s claiming victory, nobody has any numbers.

In addition, Fox News reported last night that the turnout for Dems was “shockingly low.”
