Outspoken Louisiana Senator John Kennedy pressed the Acting Director for Homeland Security Chad Wolf for some easy answers on how prepared the United States is to deal with an outbreak of Coronavirus. He was not happy at all with what he heard.
“You are supposed to keep us safe,” Kennedy snorted after Wolf fumbled with his answers. After a few more moments Kennedy was clearly becoming frustrated with the lack of direct answers about respirators and masks for American citizens. “You’re supposed to keep us safe. And the American people deserve some straight answers on the Coronavirus and I’m not getting them from you.”
The tense exchange was just the latest in the ongoing search for answers when it comes to what is really happening with the Corona Virus and how prepared we are to deal with it.
