Ouch.

Actor Michael Douglas got some interesting news just before hosting a campaign event for Mini Mike.

Turns out his father, the late Kirk Douglas cut Michael out of his $60-million-dollar will.

Instead, Michael’s father and Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas donated his entire fortune to charity.

Hmm. Maybe Bloomberg offered Michael some cash to endorse him?

Michael Douglas hit the campaign trail on behalf of Mike Bloomberg Sunday, after it was revealed the actor’s father Kirk Douglas bequeathed his entire $60 million fortune to charity.

The Wall Street actor, 75, appeared in the former New York City mayor’s hometown of Quincy, Massachusetts, telling the crowd: ‘This is really, truly one of the best candidates we’ve had running for office in 30 to 40 years.’

He went on to praise Bloomberg’s efforts on gun control after appearing at the event with his son Dylan, his eldest child with Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Appearing to acknowledge Bloomberg’s much derided debate performance last week, Douglas added: ‘I mean he may not win the contest in stand up comedian but you can’t be everything to everybody. So I just admire this guy so much. I am really happy to be out here.’

Addressing the Bloomberg campaign office Sunday Oscar winner Michael Douglas went on: ‘Thank you so much for being here today, for supporting Mike. Let’s go see what happens and let’s get this done.’

Kirk, who died earlier this month at the ripe old age of 103, reportedly left almost his entire $61m fortune to charity.

The Hollywood legend left $50m of his fortune to be distributed by the Douglas Foundation, which the actor and his wife Anne founded back in 1964 to “help those who cannot help themselves.”

That’s very nice, actually. Good for him.

“Its primary focus is improving the education and health, fostering the well-being, and most importantly developing new opportunities for the children who hold our future in their hands,” the website states.

According to the outlet, beneficiaries of the fortune will include St Lawrence University, Culver City’s Kirk Douglas Theatre, the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and Westwood’s Sinai Temple, which “houses the Kirk and Anne Douglas Childhood Centre.”

His son Michael actually is worth a reported $300 million so he likely won’t miss the cash – but he should rethink his politics.

Back in 2016, Douglas supported Hillary. But he knows President Trump very well and back in 2017, he said: “Trump is not an idiot.” He also said he’s charming and has a good sense of humor.

But of course, Douglas is a typical “Hollywood liberal.”

Douglas has thrown his support behind Mini Mike. He reportedly said he’s so “excited” about Mike Bloomberg as a candidate and he even compared him to JFK.

JFK?!

Is Michael Douglas smoking crack? Bloomberg is one of the driest, most boring and non-charming “politicians” out there, not to mention a tyrant.

I wish Kirk would have left his son some of that money so Michael could buy a political clue. Maybe once Bloomy bails, Douglas will consider supporting his “charming” old friend?
