Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) just accused “The View” co-host Meghan McCain of being a hypocrite for calling out supporters of Bernie Sanders (I-VT) for their misogynistic social media attacks.

Omar took to Twitter to claim that McCain and other conservatives often hit her with anti-Muslim slurs online.

“The same people who chastise the progressive movement regularly traffic in anti-Muslim smears and hate speech against me and those I represent,” tweeted Omar, who is a Sanders supporter. “It’s almost as if they don’t genuinely care about online harassment.”

This came after McCain slammed Sanders for not doing enough to stop the hate coming from his so-called “Bernie Bros” supporters.

“Bernie – your army of Bernie bro’s are the worst in all of the internet and every woman on both sides knows it,” McCain tweeted. “Mysoginistic, abusive and inspired by you. There’s no army of Pete bots or Biden bots abusing women!”

Omar included a screenshot of that tweet along with another in which McCain addressed reports that Omar married her own brother to secure him the necessary papers to stay in the United States.

“How is this not a bigger deal?” McCain wrote alongside the story.

This is not the first time that Omar and McCain have gone at it publicly. Last year, McCain called out Omar for using anti-Semitic rhetoric after a deadly shooting that took place at a synagogue in Southern California.

“I do think when we are having conversations about anti-Semitism we should be looking at the most extreme on both sides, and I would bring up Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and some of her comments that got so much attention,” McCain said at the time.

Omar tweeted out a clip of McCain saying this, including the sarcastic caption, “Oh, bless her heart!”

Liberals like Omar love accusing anyone who publicly disagrees with them of being “racist.” Race has nothing to do with the reason why McCain and others like her despise Omar. Rather, it is Omar’s radically left-wing policies and questionable life choices that have made her so unpopular with those on the right.
