Eminem, the rap artist known for lyrics saturated in misogyny and gratuitous violence, is now lecturing the public on peace.

You can stop laughing now.

He announced his activism on an ersatz musical offering that dropped Friday. Oh, joy.

One might think he has perhaps changed his ways and is using his platform to reverse his violent rhetoric of the past. But a song on the very album he just released makes light of the bombing outside of Ariana Grande’s Manchester concert that killed 22 in 2017.

So, there goes that idea.

The man who wrote a number of songs explicitly finding joy in rape and violence against women now lists himself as woke and thus a real hater of guns and ergo a gentle creature. Except when he isn’t for reasons of sales.

Recall this gem, from “Slim Shady”: “Don’t you get it [b—], no one can hear you? Now shut the [f—] up and get what’s coming to you. You were supposed to love me. Now bleed, [b—] bleed, bleed, bleed.” And how can we forget, from “Criminal”: “My words are like a dagger with a jagged edge, that’ll stab you in the head.”

Such an Ozzie and Harriet kind of guy.

(I listed other lyrics to support my point but my editor deleted them. Forgive him, he was probably homeschooled.)

And of course, Em’s airhead minions will spread the gospel.

But actually we shouldn’t be that surprised.

Rank hypocrisy is the calling card of the Left and their pals in the entertainment industry. The same people, like Mr. Mathers here, who no doubt go to awards shows (I would guess especially rap awards shows) surrounded by security guards armed to the teeth would not avail you and I to the protection of a pistol because, well, they deserve protection and you and I are just part of the little people.

No, not midgets.

How many inner-city kids have taken this poseur’s lyrics seriously and ended up wounded or worse? How many women have been victimized by this false bravado and psychotic posturing? How many lily-white rappers and music producers have bought their latest Bentleys or house in the Hamptons with the cash that flowed from their dark twisted message to impressionable young people?

Marshall Mathers, his real name, asks in the video accompanying his lowlife anthems, “When will this end? When enough people care. Register to vote at vote.gov. Make your voice heard and help change gun laws in America.”

This is what the Left is reduced to, spokesmen who like to musically fantasize about rape and murder. That is their current brand. Sad for them. Sadder for America.
