The woman who is famous for losing is now claiming that she will be president by 2040.

Stacey Abrams, who splashed onto the national political scene because she couldn’t win her governor’s race despite having help from Obama and Oprah, is now a Dem “superstar” for some unknown reason.

I guess Democrats just love losers.

Look at Beto O’Rourke. He rewarded his loss against Ted Cruz with a campaign for president that flopped like a dead fish.

Why do these people think “losing” is a winning strategy?

Anyway, when asked if she thinks Americans will send a black woman to the White House and if that person would be her Abrams responded, “Yes. I do, That’s my plan. And I’m very pragmatic.”

Well, not pragmatic enough to win your last race.

The prediction from Abrams, a former Georgia state representative, adds to the political intrigue and professional speculation around one of the Democratic Party’s most rapidly ascending stars. Abrams, who lost a close 2018 race to be governor of Georgia, has been mentioned by several White House hopefuls as a potential running mate.

Prior to her declaration Friday that she will seek the presidency before 2040, Abrams previously said in a March interview that 2028 “would be the earliest I would be ready to stand for president.” In a subsequent tweet, however, she wrote that “2020 is definitely on the table,” a run she has since ruled out.

In August, Abrams announced that she would not enter the current Democratic primary and would instead focus her efforts on combating voter suppression and boosting participation in the 2020 census. But she also said in an interview that same month that she would be “honored to be considered by any nominee” as a vice presidential pick. [Politico]

Well, one thing we know about Ms. Abrahms, is that even if she doesn’t win she’ll spend a decade telling us she did, right?

Speaking of, I guess this means she’ll have to step down from her Governor of Georgia duties by then.
