What is wrong with the media? It’s as if now that we’re all paying attention we’re noticing what a bunch of absolute screwups they are.

Earlier today an MSNBC reporter used what MANY believe was the “N-word” when discussing Kobe, ABC reported that all of Kobe’s children had died, and TMZ reported on the accident before the Bryant family had even heard about it.

It’s just such incompetence and a “rush rush” attitude to be the first.  Who cares if you’re right or wrong – just be THE FIRST.

Maybe that’s what happened with the BBC’s absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful “tribute” to Kobe Bryant.

In the clip they aired, they used some stills of Kobe, but when they showed NBA clips, they showed LeBron James.

The two men don’t even look alike, for crying out loud and the LAST NAMES are on the back of the jerseys.

Many people were fuming mad at the sheer incompetence – but many also believe it’s “racist.”

It’s honestly time for the media – all the media everywhere – to have a very serious “come to Jesus” moment with its self.

The incompetence is too much.

These blunders happen all the time.

In this type of industry, it’s understandable to get a story wrong once in a while but the media is getting stuff wrong all the time…big stuff, stuff that has an impact on people in politics and in culture.

They need to do better.

Stop hiring young, dumb social justice activists and hire real journalists with integrity who care enough to get the story right.
