Sixteen years old and committing a major drug crime.  Good Lord.  Weren’t his parents at least curious as to what he was doing?

An unidentified 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged with allegedly using a remote-controlled car to smuggle drugs from Mexico into California, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The teenager was arrested Sunday after Border Patrol agents caught him hiding in thick brush with two large duffel bags filled with 50 packages of meth. The street value was estimated at $106,000.

Human ingenuity and sticktoitiveness are the real themes of the drug war.  When there’s a hard to reach but a profitable goal, people won’t give up.  We’re providing a powerful incentive for criminal activity.  An unintended consequence may be technological innovation.

I wonder if that teen realizes or cares about the great damage that is done to many lives from those drugs that he is smuggling. Then again, it is very likely that he also uses meth, so his thought processes are limited to the next high. With that said, he should not get a light sentence.

On November 17, Border Patrol agents spotted a person holding two duffel bags while walking along the secondary border wall “ducking in-and-out” of their view.

One of the agents then saw the teenager hiding in a thick bush near Otay Mesa Port of Entry border. The suspect, later revealed to be a 16-year-old U.S. citizen, was carrying a remote controlled car along with the two bags.

While being questioned, the agent found that the boy was carrying 50 packages of methamphetamine, weighing more than 55 pounds. Authorities estimate the seized drugs had a street value of $106,096.

The 16-year-old was then arrested and taken to a nearby station, where he will face drug smuggling charges.

Border Patrol spokesman Theron Francisco told The San Diego Union-Tribunethat the remote controlled car would have had to “make multiple runs and go back and forth” in order to take the drugs past the border.

“There is no way he would have been able to do it in one trip,” he said. [Newsweek]

This type of crime is exactly why Pres. Donald Trump wants a wall. how many illegal drugs do we need in this country? How many people need to die before somebody does something to stop this? How many drug pushers can this country withstand?

I pray God will come into these young individuals’ hearts that need drugs on a regular basis or deal drugs and help them see that drugs are no way to live. I know we all want a better world and we should not have to need drugs for that to happen.

We have created for ourselves, a culture of death. Life has been cheapened in the minds of society with the legislation of murdering the most innocent and vulnerable among us before they have a chance to be born.  God has been kicked out of the public schools so “thou shall not murder” does not hold much meaning for many.

I do not know what a parent goes through that has a child that is addicted to these drugs. I never partook of any drugs when I was younger and I taught my kids not to experiment and they have turned out okay. Something has to be done before it’s too late.
