—Here are 3 big things you need to know—

One — No updates at this time on Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who suffered cardiac arrest during Monday night’s game against the Bengals.  The game was postponed after Hamlin collapsed on the field after tackling the Bengals’ Tee Higgins.

Two—   Gas prices in Michigan are 21-cents higher in the past week. Triple-A Michigan says the average has risen to three-dollars-20-cents, which is 29-cents lower than last month and ten-cents more than last year. Metro Detroit and Saginaw have the highest prices at three-21, while Benton Harbor’s three-15 is the lowest price.

And number three— The House will vote today to elect a new Speaker under the Republican majority.  House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy faces an uncertain path in his bid to be the next Speaker of the House.  It’s not clear if McCarthy will lock down the votes necessary to secure the gavel, as at least five conservative Republicans are threatening to vote no to deny McCarthy the 218 votes he needs.
