—Here are 3 big things you need to know—
One — Indicted FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried is agreeing to be extradited from the Bahamas to the United States. Paperwork has been filed with the court, with Bankman-Fried set to fly to the U.S. Wednesday. The 30-year-old was indicted last week on more than a half-dozen criminal counts, including fraud and conspiracy.
Two— Families who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits will have at least 95-dollars extra this month. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says over one-point-three million people receive the SNAP benefits, formerly known as food stamps. The extra amount will be added to Bridge Cards through December 24 automatically.
And number three— Airlines are issuing travel waivers ahead of a winter storm forecasters say could make a mess of holiday travel this week. United Airlines, with headquarters and a major hub in Chicago, is offering inclement weather waivers to travelers in the Midwest, Texas, and the East Coast. American Airlines, Delta, Southwest, Jet Blue and Alaska Airlines are also offering waivers for a number of flight paths and dates.
