—Here are 3 big things you need to know—

One — The Supreme Court will hear arguments over President Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan this February.  Biden earlier this year unveiled a plan to cancel up to 20-thousand dollars in student debt for tens of millions of borrowers.  Republican states filed a series of lawsuits to stop the policy from going into effect, arguing it’s an overreach of executive authority.

Two—   A winter storm watch is in effect for the entire Upper Peninsula and most of the Lower Peninsula from tomorrow afternoon until Saturday evening. Wind gusts could reach 55 miles an hour and total snow accumulations are forecast to be between eight and 17 inches. Meteorologists are telling people to not travel anywhere Friday and Friday night unless it’s an emergency.

And number three— Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Washington, DC today, his first trip outside Ukraine since the Russian invasion started 300 days ago.  He’ll meet with President Biden in the Oval Office, and will then travel to Capitol Hill where he’ll give a prime-time address to a joint session of Congress.
