—Here are 3 big things you need to know—
One — The Supreme Court today will take up a challenge to race-based college admissions practices. They’ll hear arguments in two cases, one involving Harvard, the other involving the University of North Carolina. The group Students for Fair Admissions is looking for the court to throw out a 1978 case that gave the greenlight for universities to consider race in determining who would be admitted.
Two— Four Michigan State University football players have been suspended indefinitely for attacking two University of Michigan players in the Michigan Stadium tunnel after Saturday night’s game. MSU head coach Mel Tucker announced Sunday night that defensive backs Angelo Grose and Khary Crump and defensive ends Zion Young and Itayvion Brown are suspended and under investigation. He says they are working with police, campus leaders from both schools, and the Big Ten Conference to further evaluate what happened.
And number three— The Philadelphia Phillies host the Houston Astros for Game Three of the World Series today. Each team came away with a victory after the first two games in Houston, making this World Series now a best-of-five.
