—Here are 3 big things you need to know—
Three— The White House calls additional COVID funding an urgent necessity. Communications Director Kate Bedingfield said Congress must allocate billions more dollars for pandemic services and treatments. She referred to it as planning for the future.
Two— The Detroit Police Department is donating 154 used bulletproof vests to Ukrainian soldiers. City Council unanimously approved the resolution to ship the vests over seas that were slated to be recycled.
And number one— It looks like more people are struggling to put food on the table due to record inflation. Google searches for “food stamps” are still 100-percent higher than before the pandemic and increasing this year. A new poll finds anxiety about inflation is the highest since 1985.
