Three— Disney programming is returning to YouTube TV thanks to a deal with Google. Subscribers can now get channels like ESPN, FX, National Geographic and Freeform. The reinstated service means the original 64-99 per-month cost it also back.
Two— At least 200 people are confirmed dead in the Philippines after Super Typhoon Rai ripped through the country. The Philippine National Police say on top of the 208 now dead, 52 are still missing and at almost 240 people have suffered “considerable injuries.” Rai made landfall Thursday with winds of roughly 160 miles per hour, equivalent to that of a Category Five hurricane.
And number one—Hope is fading for passing President Biden’s social spending bill. Senator Joe Manchin told Fox News he’s tried everything possible but can’t support the bill. The White House calls it a sudden reversal in his position, though Manchin specifically spelled out what was needed to get him on board.
