Three— The country’s largest wildfire continues to pose challenges to crews in Southern Oregon where it’s blackened over 408-thousand-acres. The Bootleg Fire is 46-percent contained. Additionally, the Dixie Fire in northern California has charred more than 190-thousand acres and is only 21 percent contained.
Two— The death of a man at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is under investigation by the National Park Service. The man fell into Lake Superior from an area near the upper viewing platform at Miners Castle. The man’s name has not been released.
And number one— Get ready! The nation’s top expert on coronavirus confirms the CDC may urge vaccinated people to wear masks again. Dr. Anthony Fauci told CNN the nation is going in the wrong direction, with half of adults still unprotected. He says if that doesn’t change, the infection rate will just get worse.
