Democrats Discover Political Targeting Is Terrible – When It Happens to Them

After more than a decade of investigations, prosecutions, lawsuits, impeachments and courtroom battles involving President Donald Trump, Democrats have suddenly discovered something deeply troubling: politicians being targeted by the government.

The outrage erupted Monday after federal agents searched [1] Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Washington home as part of an investigation reportedly involving immigration paperwork.

Democratic leaders cried foul, accusing the Trump administration of weaponizing federal law enforcement against political opponents.

YES, TRY NOT TO LAUGH PLEASE. And this comes at a time when Democrats are chomping at the bit to impeach Trump AGAIN if they get control of the House and Senate.

Democrats have always defended the targeting of Trump as legitimate accountability. Now they’re up in arms about Omar getting the same treatment.

Maybe they’ve forgotten all of the times during the targeting of Trump when they said, “No one is above the law.” Even Ilhan said it.

Democrats argue the raid raises legitimate concerns about political retaliation.

Hm… the left didn’t seem to care much about political targeting when they raided Mar- A-Lago.

Funny how “no one is above the law” was the Democrats’ battle cry when Trump was in the crosshairs. But now that Omar is getting a taste of federal scrutiny, suddenly it’s a constitutional crisis, a threat to democracy and an outrage of historic proportions. Maybe Democrats should update their favorite slogan: “No one is above the law – unless there’s a D after their name.”
