Of all the words you might expect to see together in 2026, “Clinton,” “intern” and “discretion” probably weren’t high on the list.
Yet here we are.
According to a report from the New York Post, Hillary Rodham Clinton’s office at the Clinton Foundation is looking for interns to work in New York City from Sept. 9 through Nov. 13. The unpaid position requires 25 to 29 hours a week, with interns receiving academic credit instead of a paycheck.

Can you imagine? Putting up with a Clinton and NOT getting paid for it?! Applicants must possess a “high level of professionalism and discretion.” Yes. The Clinton office is advertising for an intern with discretion.
The internet, predictably, noticed.
“Bill lost his intern privileges,” one commenter joked, while another reached back to one of the former president’s most infamous turns of phrase: “Depends on what the definition of ‘internship’ is.”
For anyone who somehow missed the 1990s, Bill Clinton’s relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky eventually became part of the investigation that led to his 1998 impeachment by the House on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. The Senate later acquitted him.
And because apparently one punchline wasn’t enough, Bill Clinton’s office is hiring too. But no interns for Bill.
His team is looking for a paid “Special Projects Associate” earning $50,000 to $55,000 a year, working on agendas and other office work – and assisting with “special projects,” whatever those might be.
