Apparently, Republicans are the extremists and not the Democrats whose every policy seems to be the opposite of being pro-American. This comes from a new CBS News/ YouGov poll [1].
The survey of 2,287 U.S. adults found a majority (58%) of registered voters describe the Republican Party as “extreme” even though the Democrats are the ones quickly wading openly into the “socialism” (communism) waters.
While capitalism remains more popular than socialism among Americans overall, Democratic voters now view socialism more favorably than capitalism, according to the poll. Nearly half also say their party isn’t progressive enough and want leaders pursuing “big, fundamental changes” rather than smaller policy adjustments. Yes, they are crazy.
So…Republicans are the ones labeled as “extreme” because they want to protect citizens from illegal aliens and criminals, secure the border, enforce existing immigration laws, support law enforcement, protect gun rights, limit government spending, keep taxes down, defend free speech, preserve parental rights, keep boys and men out of female sports and bathrooms, require election safeguards, and adhere to the Constitution.
The poll also found Democrats tend to associate socialism with equality, fairness and public services (big surprise), while Republicans and independents are more likely to associate it with government control or ownership (which is the truth).
Voters may be slapping the “extreme” label on Republicans, but Democrats seem determined to prove that when it comes to crazy policies, they’re still the reigning champs.
