Tucker Carlson’s TDS Hits New Heights

For years, Tucker Carlson was one of Donald Trump’s loudest media cheerleaders. These days? He sounds more like a blue-haired TDS “Karen” posting in the comments section of MSNBC clips.

According to a report [1] from the Daily Mail, Carlson was on the Jack Neel Podcast recently and has intensified his break with President Donald Trump, calling him “weak” and accusing him of trying to “posture” his way out of the Iran conflict after realizing the economic costs are mounting.

In the lengthy interview, Carlson argued Trump’s tough rhetoric has amounted to empty threats rather than strength and suggested the president is trying to end the conflict because the financial realities are impossible to ignore. The comments mark the latest escalation in a once-close political alliance that has deteriorated over disagreements about foreign policy and America’s role overseas.

Carlson has spent months hammering Trump over the Iran conflict, accusing him of putting Israel’s interests ahead of America’s and even announcing he’s “done” with the Republican Party. Trump has fired back by declaring Carlson is “not MAGA” and saying the former Fox host has “lost his way.”

The bigger question is: what’s Tucker’s end game? Nobody really knows.

Carlson’s break with a big swath of the conservative movement didn’t happen overnight. Following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, he drew widespread criticism for remarks at Kirk’s memorial that many conservatives and Jewish organizations said echoed antisemitic themes. Since then, Carlson has become one of President Trump’s sharpest critics on foreign policy, repeatedly attacking his support for Israel and military action against Iran.

Some supporters say he’s simply supporting an “America First” foreign policy that rejects overseas wars. Critics argue he’s drifted into rhetoric that increasingly overlaps with anti-Israel talking points and has attracted repeated accusations of antisemitism. Accusations Carlson denies. However, his interviews with controversial figures and relentless focus on Israel have fueled that debate.

Whatever the explanation for Carlson’s TDS, he seems to have traded his role as MAGA’s biggest amplifier for that of its loudest critic. Whether it’s true political conviction, audience chasing, presidential aspirations, or something else is anyone’s guess.

One thing seems clear: if you’re expecting the old Tucker Carlson to climb back aboard Trump’s MAGA train anytime soon, don’t hold your breath. That version of Tucker appears to have left the station.
