Court Tosses First Roadblock to Trump’s Election Crackdown

Democrats who are hoping to slam the brakes on President Donald Trump’s March executive order [1] tightening voter citizenship checks and mail-in voting rules got an unwelcome response from a federal judge: not so fast.

U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols ruled that challengers failed to show any actual harm yet because federal agencies haven’t even implemented the order. In other words, the court wasn’t interested in hearing arguments based on future hypotheticals and worst- case political nightmares coming from the Dems. So no preliminary injunction for them.

The order directs federal agencies to help verify voter eligibility and seeks tighter controls on mail-in ballots, including the creation of state-specific citizenship verification lists. Supporters say it’s common-sense election security. Critics argue it could disenfranchise voters and intrude on state authority over elections.

But according to a report [2] from Just the News, the judge wasn’t buying the whole “disenfranchisement” argument – or any other BS coming from the cheating Democrats.

For now, the judge essentially told opponents to come back when there’s something more substantial than a crystal-ball prediction. The legal battle isn’t over, but Democrats walked away from this round empty-handed.
