What began as another round of “No Kings” protests over the weekend – touted by Democrats as “peaceful” – quickly devolved into familiar scenes of chaos, clashes, and arrests. As we reported [1] Friday, it followed a now-predictable pattern: another weekend, another anti-Trump demonstration, driven largely by older white liberal activists alongside Antifa-style agitators and organized (and paid for) protest groups.
In Portland, rioters scaled a federal building like they were storming a medieval castle, ripping down security cameras and vandalizing property.

A “No Kings” protest in Los Angeles escalated into violence when demonstrators allegedly assaulted federal officers at a courthouse, with some throwing concrete and other objects at law enforcement.

There were also threats against reporters from Breitbart News, signs joking about Trump dying in office, and a general anything-goes vibe, resembling a traveling circus with a rage problem.

The “No Kings” crowd may claim they’re fighting tyranny, but the optics suggest something else – a movement that can’t seem to protest without smashing a few things along the way. The old people have the potty mouths and their Antifa co-conspirators seem to have the weapons. As they chant “down with power,” they are actually trying to seize every bit of it they can, one swear word, one threat, and one vandalized building at a time.
