Follow the Money: GOP Probes Who Bankrolled Minnesota’s Anti-ICE Protests

According to a report [1] from Just the News, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is looking into the funding that is behind the ICE protests and riots in Minnesota.

Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) announced [2] the investigation on Monday stating that “committee Republicans are examining the sources of funding for efforts to create social unrest and obstruct federal law enforcement operations, including organized efforts to impede actions by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).”

Comer goes on to say in his statement, “In a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, the lawmakers request a briefing from the Department of Justice (DOJ) on its efforts to track and assess possible connections among organized efforts to obstruct law enforcement with criminal activities and foreign influences.”

Reports suggest that the anti-ICE protests and riots may be bankrolled by deep- pocketed Left-wing philanthropists and organizations, with some even tied by critics to wealthy figures now living abroad.

Yes, what might have looked to some like spontaneous outrage over federal immigration enforcement is likely something closer to a well-funded political campaign with logistics, mega-donors, and national players – not to mention possible international players like Neville Roy Singham [3] who looks to be bankrolling the protests against the airstrikes against Iran as well.

Senators and watchdogs are pointing fingers at “dark money” groups that allegedly mask donor identities with layered pass-throughs and nonprofits, turning protests into professionalized political theater.

Not that this should shock anyone who’s watched the same familiar cast of activists materialize at every new protest – usually armed with professionally printed signs and matching slogans before the last anti-Trump outrage has ended.
