Evil TDS Dems Go After Hollywood Star for Attending Dog Rescue Fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago

For years, Lara Trump has hosted high-profile fundraisers at Mar-a-Lago to support Big Dog Ranch Rescue, one of the nation’s largest no-kill dog shelters. A longtime animal advocate, Trump regularly uses the events to raise millions for rescue dogs and shelter expansion.

But when actress Katherine Heigl showed up this year to support the cause [1], critics online seemed less concerned about helping homeless animals – and more concerned about the venue.

Yes, in today’s political climate, even helping abandoned animals apparently requires partisan approval from the sick Leftist mob.

The Grey’s Anatomy star attended the “Wine, Women & Shoes” charity event recently benefiting Big Dog Ranch Rescue. The fundraiser reportedly brought in a whopping $5.5 million to support the organization. Big Dog Ranch Rescue founder Lauree Simmons said of the fundraising weekend, “This year was a record-breaking success and boosted awareness for Big Dog Ranch Rescue. It was a heartwarming display of community spirit, uniting style enthusiasts and animal advocates for a truly monumental cause.”

But rather than celebrate the money raised for homeless animals, Leftist critics focused on the venue – President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate – and the fact that the event was co-chaired by Lara Trump, Trump’s daughter-in-law.

Heigl didn’t take any crap though because she is fiercely devoted to the cause of animal rescue. She pushed back, reminding critics that dogs don’t care about politics.

She accused the online critics (losers) of not understanding the importance of her work. She said, “Animals don’t vote. The only room they don’t like is the euthanasia room at a shelter. They are completely at the mercy of us, and they have no voice of their own. This event was about animal advocacy – something that has always been deeply personal to me. Anyone who knows me knows that protecting animals is one of my greatest passions. My mother, Nancy, and I have spent years advocating for animals through the Jason Heigl Foundation. As a society, we should all come together to protect the voiceless and the innocent. This should not be a polarizing issue. Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone involved, this event raised over $5 million to help animals in need – especially those who have been abused or neglected. I’m so grateful to everyone who showed up, supported, and continues to stand up for those who can’t speak for themselves.”

The more she was criticized, the more vocal she became, defending her involvement in the fundraiser and the importance of supporting animal rescue organizations.

Heigl’s advocacy for animals is hardly new, as she pointed out. She co-founded the Jason Heigl Foundation in 2008 with her mother, raising millions for rescue groups and animal-welfare efforts. The foundation is named after Heigl’s late brother Jason, whose love for animals inspired the organization.

In the end, Heigl gave some good advice to the haters and trolls saying, “Do you care about animals? If so donate! Time! Money! Attention! Your voice! It doesn’t matter who I am only what I do. The same goes for you! Animals might not be your thing but I bet you care deeply about something that matters! Do your part! Don’t waste your time scrolling and making comments!”
