Apple is reminding us that we need to update the software on our iPhones AGAIN. According to the Daily Mail [1], this update isn’t about cute emojis or making that SpongeBob wallpaper you love pop up fast enough. It’s to fend off spyware attacks by hackers. Apple wants you to download their emergency iOS update.
The Daily Mail reports that “The upgrade, iOS 26.3, fixes 39 security flaws that could allow hackers to view private information, crash apps or take control of a device, either through physical access or via malicious files and websites.”
Well, that’s not very nice. Sounds like your ex might still have you on their radar – or who knows, maybe it’s an international espionage plot looking to steal your aunt’s cake recipe.
So what do you do? Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check whether the latest version is available, then follow the prompts to install it. That is, if you have a new enough phone to do so as the new software fix supports iPhone 11 and later. Good luck.
