Whoopi Goldberg, one of the co-hosts of The View, had to hop on live TV this week to explain [1] why her name popped up in the newly released Jeffrey Epstein files – and reassure the world she’s not suddenly the lead in a crime docu-drama.
Turns out she wasn’t a BFF or a girlfriend of Epstein (or so she says).
She told the viewers “in the name of transparency” that she was mentioned in a 2013 email about needing a plane to Monaco for a charity gig – an offer Epstein’s people promptly declined.
And in a moment that might make you spit out your dentures, knowing how often the 70- year-old and her Leftist cohorts lie about Trump and MAGA, Goldberg actually mentioned there was a time when you had to have facts before you said stuff. LOL.
That’s hysterical. Truly. Since when do the chicks on The View care about gathering facts about anything – or care about reporting them? Their legal department has actually made them apologize on air when they REALLY go over the line.
In November of 2025, Whoopi had to read a legal disclaimer [2] on the air regarding something she had said about Trump and the autopen. Then she belligerently ripped up the note. A year before that, their legal department made the co-hosts issue four legal notes [3] about allegations the co-hosts made about Trump’s cabinet nominees. These were in regard to bogus remarks made by ALL of them.
During Whoopi’s explanation about her connection to Epstein, elderly co-host Joy Behar, 83, couldn’t resist pointing out that Donald Trump is supposedly in the Epstein files tens of thousands of times, which of course, automatically makes him guilty of something. That’s a “fact” that Whoopi said she can’t speak to – but the rest of the women on the show have no problem speaking about it. Or anything else – whether what they say is truthful or not.
