Friday, January 30th marks what must surely be the Left’s historic 10,000th anti-Trump protest, this time cleverly rebranded as a nationwide “shutdown” to protest ICE and everything else that Trump has done this week. The playbook? “No work, no school, no shopping” – which, if successful, might accidentally cure inflation by default.
According to Just the News [1], the strike effort is an “attempt to replicate a Minnesota-wide anti-ICE shutdown which occurred last Friday.”
FRIDAY: NATIONWIDE SHUTDOWN!
The people of Minnesota have led the way – to stop ICE’s reign of terror, we need to SHUT IT DOWN. We join their call to expand Friday’s general strike.

All the usual suspects are in on the party – Code Pink, CAIR, Black Lives Matter Detroit, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, and of course 50501 – and hundreds more far- left organizations. They even have a website [4] set up for it already.
Newsweek [5] says that organizers are describing the protest as voicing opposition to immigration tactics and the fatal shootings of two U.S. citizens by federal agents in Minneapolis. They want the funding of ICE to stop and they want the entire nation to get behind their efforts.
Expect plenty of signs calling out Trump, ICE, and calls to “abolish everything” – the kind of messages that have dominated anti-Trump protests for the past 10 years.
