Signal Noise: Minnesota Democrats Caught Running the ‘Grassroots’ Resistance Against ICE on Infiltrated Encrypted Messaging App

The “organic” protests against ICE in Minnesota are looking a lot less like spontaneous civic outrage and a lot more like a scheduled shift change within the state government.

After a Signal chat tied to so-called “ICE Watch” activity leaked, critics say the receipts tell an awkward story: emojis for clocking in and out, live “dispatch,” vehicle tracking, and admins allegedly linked to Democratic officials and operatives.

Among the many Democrat names circulating online as being in on the planned resistance are Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan as an admin, Amanda Noelle Koehler (a Tim Walz campaign strategist) and a state agency employee popping up in the chat. State Rep. Alex Falconer has also publicly acknowledged being in one of the groups.

Beyond the Signal threads, critics also point to what they say is extensive Antifa-aligned organizing on the ground – groups allegedly coordinating confrontations, property damage, and chaos under the cover of “protest.”

Video, social media posts, and activist chatter in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Portland, Oregon suggest that the anti-ICE activity isn’t just spontaneous street anger, but a sustained operation that requires logistics, manpower, and money. And now we know that elected Democrats and others in their inner circles are (allegedly) involved too.
